UK Raises Women's Pension Age to Equal Man's --Women Throw Fit

Equality is a bitter pill to swallow. This story about the outrage over raising women's pension age is a good example.

First, some background on UK current pension ages:

"For men born before 6 December 1953, the current State Pension age is 65.
For women, the current State Pension age is increasing from 60 to 65 from April 2010. This affects women born on or after 6 April 1950."

So, let's see, currently (and for however long) women have been able to collect their pension a whole 5 years ahead of men even when women typically live longer too. Now, the mere proposal that women's pension age will be the same as men, has sent some straight to a hissy fit:
"Ministers have just announced details of an eleventh-hour lifeline to hundreds of thousands of women affected by controversial plans to raise the state pension age.
They have decided to delay an increase in the pension age to 66 in 2020 by six months after being inundated with complaints from angry women.
Significantly, the changes will apply to both men and women and will cost £1billion."
Naturally, the article did not point out the simple facts from the government website I linked to above, that women currently and have been privileged enough to collect their pension 5 years ahead of men. Due to economic realities, you would think women could get off their gravy train and rather enjoy some humble pie, but oh no, giving women the same pension age as men is of course an "injustice" and "sexist".
"The U-turn means that women – some of whom were facing the prospect of waiting an extra two years before they could claim their state pension – will have their wait reduced to 18 months. The move will benefit around 300,000 women.
The Pensions Bill currently going through Parliament proposes that the state pension age for women will reach 65 by November 2018 and rise to 66 for both men and women by April 2020.  Instead the amendments laid today will propose that men and women reach 66 by October 2020.
The Daily Mail has led the way in campaigning against the injustice being faced by these women and the Government should take credit for listening to these concerns."
Injustice? And men waiting 5 years after women to collect their pension, is what exactly?
"‘Six months! Is that it!’ is the response I have just had from one of the women affected by these changes. And I suspect that is going to be a cry of women in their mid-fifties up and down the country."
Cry away. The day will come when no one gets a pension and both men and women will have to work to the grave. These are the golden days of privilege and entitlements.

The hypocrisy of modern women NEVER ceases to amaze me! It's sexist that UK women get to collect their pensions a full five years before men do. Women wanted equality; they got it; so what are they bitching about?

This is yet another proof of what I've always said: Modern Womyn are rabid "equality" fanatics, just as long and ONLY as long as "equality" gives them special privileges.
Modern Womyn can maintain their "strong and independent" self-delusion only as long as they have Big Daddy/Big Bully Government to back them up, and equally deluded socon White Knights and manginas to hide behind.

Real equality would be women in the US and in the UK drawing their pensions 5-6 years after men do...so that they, on average, draw a pension for an equal amount of time.

I just had another thought: why do women bitch about staying in the workplace longer? Didn't the feminists say that, unlike the DRUDGERY of keeping a home, that the workplace would offer fun, frolic, and fulfillment in a way that a husband and kids never could? Wasn't the workplace the only way to 'self actualization' for these women? Since work is so much fun, wouldn't these women want to do it longer?

MM,
Good points and I'd be curious to see a feminist response to that. Funny thing is many SAHMs can technically retire (in the sense they don't have the demands of young ones to look after) in their early 40s if they start kids early.

The teachings of Srila Prabhupada on women and anti-feminism
http://prabhupadawomen.wordpress.com/

The purpose of this essay is to address the issue of feminism and misandry (hatred of men, the opposite of misogyny) and how it has destroyed modern society. We will be analyzing many of the statements made by Srila Prabhupada about women, their role in society, and the anti-feminism stance of his teachings.

How exactly is this sexist?

What kind of moronic arguements are they using to justify it as some sort of sexism ...

Isnt it blatantly sexist if men have to retire later?

This just continues to prove these feminists are the real sexist pigs & have always been ...

rmaxd, you are absolutely correct. Over my 69 years, the vast majority of sexism I have observed has been directed against men. I don't even think I need list the sexism directed against men.

An example, after I married my wife back in 1975, a classmate of her daughter invited her to a slumber party at her house. Her custodial father was an ordained evangelical pastor. I insisted she go.

Exactly two girls showed up, my stepdaughter and another girl. She had a great time. My wife couldn't sleep, but walked up and down the house crying all night.

The mothers imagined a man who by a miracle won custody was going to rape any girl who spent the night with his daughter.

This involves my wife of 36 years, but this is evil sexism at its worst.

Laura is spot on with this article, but I think the real question Laura should be asking is why did the government wait this long

Just as pensions, Laura correctly points out, are on the way out ...

I think this is more an attack on older men, who werent effected by the competition of women, as they simply retired years before men

Basically drive down the wages of older men, as women saturate more markets

Whem the truth is, it is men who should be drawing pensions earlier

Men die alot earlier & die thousands of times more then women

They also receive ridiculously reduced healthcare compared to women

& the short lives they do live, they still manage to work longer hours & more days then women

This is really about the exercise of the privilege of women to be sexist

Of course as Laura rightly points out, pensions & state benefits will be gone, along with easy credit & easily obtainable mortgages

I really dont see how this is to mens benefit

hi anon 69,

I love your posts btw, & I really wish guys like yourself & welmer over on spearhead had a blog, we could follow

Your comments & expertise of life really comes through, you'd be surprised how much us youngsters get out of your comments

They're pretty fascinating ...

Your post is spot on women being naturally sexist

I've found the less corrective her husband is, & not assertive, the more likely she is to act out her irrational sexism towards men & smother her children

Which is essentially what she's doing in your example

Basically if she was with a badboy alpha, who didnt care about her daughter, or her in general,

& basically wouldnt put up with her throwing what is a tantrum about her daughter

I've found the more cold shoulders & generally constantly assertively tell a woman what is a correct way to behave or not

They start to give you alot more credit & start behaving alot less irrationally

The amount of aggressiveness when calling her out on her crap, is pretty much the same for all women

As long as you're aggressive enough to shock them enough out of their comfort zone

They might argue or throw a tantrum at first, or some even start crying, the key is not to respond to them & stand your ground

Anyway thats basically how I turn crazy women into rational adults, works everytime lol
